Description :

Beautiful autumnal foliage colouring.

The Andropogon genus has more than one hundred species. Most are native to the temperate regions of North America.

Andropogon gerardii or big bluestem is the dominant grass in the American prairies. It can reach 2.4 m in height and gives a theatrical display in the autumn/winter when its foliage turns rich hues of orange and coppery-orange.

Used wisely in the garden its volume and erect habit lend a theatrical touch to a seasonal screen or a border backdrop. It is also suitable for natural gardens or to restore a meadow.

Very robust and hardy, we strongly recommend this grass.
