Santolina rosmarinifolia 'Lemon Fizz'
Description :
Santolina rosmarinifolia 'Lemon Fizz' is a surprising variety of cotton lavender with foliage that can be chartreuse-green to lemon-yellow depending on its exposure. It is an asset in a rock garden for its bright colour, finely-chiselled foliage and compact, rounded habit.
We like to plant it to contrast with silver foliage varieties (Artemisia, Tanacetum densum, Sedum 'Cape Blanco'), purple foliage varieties (Sedum 'Black Beauty', Sedum fabarium) or in harmony with the yellow flowers of Anthemis.
In a pot we might be daring and plant it with Ophiopogon 'Black Dragon' for a striking contrast.
For rock gardens, gravel gardens, paving, edging.
Grow in the sun or slight shade in ordinary, light and well-drained soil. Slightly acid to alkaline. Hardy.
