Description :

A perfect globe that keeps its shape: soft pink flowers in May-June and dark green, aromatic foliage.

That's why at the nursery we love Thymus vulgaris 'Elsbeth'.

Not only beautiful, but good, too. We like to plant Elsbeth in a dry rockery to contrast with the slender spikes of Sisyrinchium or Allium.

Height: 30 cm. Planting distance: 30 cm.

Grow in the sun in light , well-drained, neutral to alkaline soil.

What's in the name?

Commonly known as T. rotundifolius or T. rotundifolia, it was renamed in 2001 by botanist Werner Simon (Marktheidenfeld, Germany) to honour Elsbeth Frei, wife of German theologian Hans Frei (1922-1988).

- 12 cm pot

- Hardiness zones : zone 6-10
- Height: 10 to 30cm
- Plant spacing: 30 cm
