Peacock-eye Pink

Dianthus pavonius is native to dry grasslands and rocky slopes in the Alps and Pyrenees (at altitudes of 1,200 m - 3,000 m); it is a small perennial to grow in a rockery, on gravel or in a trough. It likes sun and gravelly soil, which should be soft and well-drained.

Spring flowering in beautiful pink blooms with bluish throats. Flowers 2 cm wide.

Height: 5 to 15 cm.
