Galanthus are sturdy woodland plants, harbingers of spring with their pure white flowers marked with green.
In the garden they are good to plant in a shady border (but avoid deep shade), in pots with a mulch of green woodland moss to create a spring setting or you can let them get established in moist lawn.
Galanthus elwisii is native to the Balkans and Western Turkey and likes humus-rich, moist soil. Very hardy. Height: 10 to 15 cm. Planting depth: 4 to 7 cm.
