Phlox subulata (creeping phlox, moss phlox, moss pink, or mountain phlox) forms a very attractive evergreen, compact, regular mat, 5 - 15 cm in height. The Phlox subulata 'Candy Stripes' cultivar flowers freely from March to June with a short second flowering in the autumn.
For paving, rock gardens, walls and troughs.
Easy to grow in the sun in ordinary soil. Resistant to temporary drought.
Maintenance: trim back to half height after flowering.
