Acanthus 'Whitewater' is a new 2013 variety from the United States. It adds a touch of fantasy in a partial shade garden with:
We use it on the edge of a shady bed as a focus plant for its very noticeable foliage.
Grow in partial shade in good, fertile, well-drained garden soil.
Maintenance: prune damaged leaves at the end of the winter and deadhead flowers and stems. Mulch with leaf mould in the spring before the new shoots appear.
