Blue flowers on a robe of silver foliage.
Pulmonaria 'Majesté' belongs to the Argentea* group and has entirely silver foliage and blue flowers that fade to pink. Very attractive lively and colourful plant in the early spring.
Also known as lungwort, this shady perennial flowers from March onwards and is the ideal companion for all early spring perennials (hellebore, Galanthus, Heuchera) for splendid, dazzling beds to celebrate the return of spring.
Grow in the shade or partial shade in humus-rich, damp but not sodden soil. Divide every 3 years.
Height: 30 cm.
* Note: This plant was selected from a mutation of Pulmonaria saccharata 'Mrs Moon'. We are offering it as a homage to Jean Pierre Hennebelle (La Ferme Fleurie, Boubers-sur-Canche, 62 Pas-de-Calais), who discovered it with Didier Willery, who has since become a journalist on l'Ami des jardins and author of several gardening books. Many people have claimed the discovery of this plant, but make no mistake, the first mutation of this type came from the Pas-de-Calais.
