Heucherella 'Brass lantern' is a fantastic new variety and a result of the hybrid selection work of Janet Egger at Terra Nova Nurseries (Oregon, USA).
It is exceptionally vigorous with evergreen, maple-like leaves that are coppery-red in the spring. White flowers borne on dark stems.
And in the autumn, as the temperatures drop, the plant assumes a mantle tinged with brown and olive green, turning to chocolate in the winter.
In partial shade in the garden this plant will develop its potential and produce denser foliage.
Grow in moist, fertile, well-drained soil. Prune the damaged leaves at the very beginning of spring. Evergreen foliage in mild climates.
