Description :

An unusual Lily of the Valley

Native to China and Japan, the Reineckea genus belongs to the Convallariaceae family, but has only one species.

Reineckea carnea is a small, exotic-looking ground cover with small bunches of scented fuchsia pink flowers and shiny green, grass-like leaves.

In the garden we use it as ground cover for shady borders or in a moist rockery.

Grow in the sun (not too hot) or partial shade in well-drained, moist, humus-rich soil.
