Big, tall and beautiful!
Thalictrum 'Elin' or Meadow-rue 'Elin' is the result of the successful marriage of T. flavum ssp. glaucum X T. rochebrunianum and has inherited the blue foliage with metallic-grey highlights of the former and the top-quality flowers of the latter.
Thalictrum 'Elin' is one of the most impressive garden plants with its diaphanous inflorescences on powerfully sturdy stems that grow more than 2 metres tall.
Use in landscaping as a focus plant, planted on its own or at the back of a bed to form a curtain or hedge. For a somewhat theatrical effect, plant it with Veronicastrum, Verbena bonariensis (in a sunny location).
Grow in good garden soil, sufficiently moist in the summer sun (not too hot) or partial shade.
Thalictrum 'Elin' can exceed, briskly, 250 cm high!
- 12 cm pot
- Hardiness zones : zone 7-10
- Height: more than 200 cm
- Plant spacing: 60 cm
- Flower colour: mauve
- Flowering period: summer flowers
