A luminous, evergreen, scented ground cover.
Thymus x citriodorus 'Archer's Gold’ is a slow-growing, but long-lived perennial which over the years grows into a superb “duvet” of variegated green and golden evergreen leaves.
Scented like all the Thymus x citriodorus, Archer's Gold is very bright and attractive and produces pale lavender flowers in the summer.
In the garden we would ideally plant it along a pathway, in a gravel garden or raised rockery to make the most of its pretty drooping habit... or it works well as a ground cover, too!
Thymus x citriodorus 'Archer's Gold' is originally a Mediterranean plant, so it likes hot, sunny spots; poor, gravelly soil and does not like persistent damp or heavy, wet soil.
The only care needed is to prune it into shape after flowering.
