Description :

Heath Pearlwort or Irish Moss

Sagina subulata is a hardy, evergreen perennial that is a useful ground cover plant. It does not mind a little trampling and its foliage is an attractive bright green.

It has several uses in the garden: to decorate paving, a rock garden or add greenery to a Japanese garden around the base of a bonsai.

A very handy moss, indeed!

Height: 3 cm. White flowers with delicate scent in the summer. Grow Sagina subulata in partial or light shade in ordinary, light and not too rich soil, neutral to acid that is damp, but well-drained. Water moderately.
