Had you visited the nursery in the summer of 2015, you would have been surprised by the abundant flowering of this brand new Echinacea, brought to us by the renowned Terra Nova Nurseries.
For Echinacea 'Secret Affair' is uncommonly floriferous! It has unusually short flower stems, which means that the plant keeps all its energy, until the beginning of the autumn, to produce marvellous fuchsia to mauve pink pompom flowers over healthy, bright green foliage.
To sum up:
In the garden we like to use it as a star plant, at the edge of a border in good garden soil, together with a silver foliage plant with light pink flowers.
We should add that with its upright, rigid floral stems, Echinacea 'Secret Affair' is a very good cut flower.
