One of our best perennial seedsman, Jelitto Staudensamen GmbH ® introduced this pale purple coneflower in its 2005 catalogue. From July to September Echinacea pallida 'Hula Dancer' produces rather strange, but very elegant pinkish white flower, with drooping leaves.

Height: 80 cm. Cultivation: in the sun in ordinary soil.

Deadhead to prolong flowering or keep the dry blooms for a superb winter display to accompany Deschampsia and Anthemis.

And also... in the winter, the flower heads are precious larders full of nourishing seeds for the birds.
