Under the charming spell of oregano!
Origanum 'Bristol Cross' is a cross between Origanum laevigatum x Origanum roduntifolium and produces a fantastic display of flowers in May-June and then again at the end of the summer.
Its soft inflorescences consist of stacks of intense purple bracts and add graceful lightness to a sunny border, a rockery or a vase of cut flowers.
Its evergreen foliage is an attractive grey-green in winter. Easy to grow, it enjoys a sunny position and ordinary, soft and permeable soil. Very hardy.
It goes well with Agropyron magellanicum, Poa glauca 'Blue Hill', Sedum 'Purple Emperor', Stipa tenuifolia, Euphorbia myrsinite.
