Hyssopus officinalis 'Roseus'
Description :
As tough as they come.
Hyssopus officinalis 'Roseus' is a compact subshrub (like lavender) with deliciously scented foliage. Soft pink flowers on upright spikes from July to October.
Easy to grow in the sun in ordinary soil, which can be poor and dry, together with the other summer sun-lovers: Lavandula, Sedum, Origanum, Dianthus, Eryngium, Santolina, etc.
Height: 50 cm. An interesting cultivar for contrasts between upright and rounded habits.
Goes well with Sedum 'Carl'. The same pink, but contrasting habits.
You can use this aromatic plant for cooking, adding it to soups, grilled meats, stews and roasts. It can also be taken in very small quantities as a herbal tea.
