A simple and easy to grow plant just as we like them!
Achillea millefolium is an easy species to grow, its flowering is very simple, but so very reliable that we recommend it to any novice gardener.
Once established, the plant is resistant to occasional summer droughts and provides a mixed border with flowers throughout the summer.
The flat flowers of Achillea millefolium can be used as the basis for flower arrangements to contrast with the spherical inflorescences of Echinops or the upright flower spikes of Salvia nemorosa, Hyssopus officinalis 'Roseus' or lavender.
It's great to match it with other genera of the great family of umbellifers given its slightly old-fashioned romantic character.
Achillea 'Appleblossom' is a new addition to our catalogue and has soft flowering umbels with lilac flowers that fade to light pink as they age.
In the garden, we associate it with other summer blooms in shades of pink to accentuate its multicoloured effect while still remaining faithful to a monochromatic theme!
Maintenance: division at the beginning of spring. Deadhead to prolong flowering.
