A special for scorching summers and dry gardens.

In July-August, Echinops ritro subsp. ruthenicus 'Platinum Blue' produces blue globe flowers and can resist everything from drought to wind or barren soil.

It's an ideal plant for holiday gardens.

Height: 1 m.

Grow in the sun in ordinary soil, which can be poor and dry.

Goes well with other silvery-grey plants (Artemisia, Santolina, Sedum 'Frosty Morn', Sedum 'Iceberg'), white flowering plants (Gaura, Lychnis coronaria 'Alba') or blue flowering (Perovskia, Lavandula, Calamintha, Nepeta).

Note: + good cut flower + butterfly-friendly + great structure in the winter.
