Sweetly-scented Sand Pink
Native to North-Eastern Europe, Dianthus arenarius, is a botanical pink which flowers continuously in July and August. A dishevelled pure white flower with a 300% dianthus scent.
Its foliage forms an attractive dense clump with slightly bluish leaves.
We plant this sand pink in a dry rockery, on scree or in a trough.
Height: 20 cm. Planting distance: 30 cm. Grow Dianthus arenarius in the sun in ordinary, permeable, soft soil.
You can improve the drainage by adding gravel, rough sand or pozzolan (<5 mm). Very hardy.
