A star plant!
A recent English selection, this scabious is loved by gardeners for its long and magnificent flowering of large light pink pompom pincushions from spring to early autumn. Scabiosa columbaria 'Pink Mist' flowers for six months!
Planted in mass, in a border or trough, Scabiosa columbaria 'Pink Mist' will not disappoint you. Melliferous (honey-yielding), its flowers constantly attract a flutter of butterflies.
Combine in a bed with Coreopsis 'Moonbeam', Cephalaria alpina, Dianthus, Andropogon scoparius 'Prairie Blue'.
In a planter I like to associate it with Heuchera 'Frosted Violet' and Agropyron magellanium for a very soft patchwork of pinks and blues.
