Originally from China, Japan and Korea, purple angelica is a biennial which easily reseeds itself. Try it with Knautia macadonica, Echinacea and Miscanthus 'Ferner Osten'.
Grow in ordinary or good garden soil that is not too dry. Hardy. It is possible to grow seedlings in pot.
