A rich palette of warm colours. Orange ! Gold ! Red ! Bronze!
Helenium 'Sahin's Early Flowerer' is a popular variety of helenium or sneezeweed for it long-lasting, vibrant flowering from June to October - as long as you remember to deadhead!
Its daisy-like flower heads are much appreciated for their warm colours. And the long summer flowering period makes it a good addition to a perennial bed with good garden soil.
It also goes well with grasses. We like to combine it with tall foliage varieties in shades of flame red, purple or amber, such as: Miscanthus sinensis 'Afrika', Miscanthus sinensis 'Samouraï', Miscanthus sinensis 'Purple Fall', Panicum virgatum 'Shenandoah'.
Grow in the sun or in partial shade (with afternoon sun) in good garden soil.
Maintenance: cut back the clump in the autumn and mulch with leaf compost. Deadhead regularly to prolong flowering. Divide the clumps every three years.
