A cottage garden special.
Geranium magnificum 'Rosemoor’ is a sturdy, easy-to-grow perennial that is the result of a cross between Geranium ibericum x Geranium platypetalum. It forms a clump with generous foliage and flowers prolifically in June-July, producing broad violet-veined blooms with purple highlights.
Although it does not have a second flowering, this geranium has superb autumn colouring and provides a lasting display throughout the season and over several years.
Geranium magnificum 'Rosemoor' can be planted almost anywhere in the garden: in high borders, near trees, at the foot of roses (light yellow flowering is a must), perennial beds associated with Anthemis, Scabiosa, Salvia nemorosa or Cephalaria.
Tip: you can plant Alchemilla just underneath it. Under the cast of its shadow, Alchemilla can thrive and flower in a beautiful contrast of chartreuse yellow / purple-violet hues. We prefer a full sun exposure for its incredible flowering, or a semi-shaded exposure for its abundant foliage and ground cover effect. Grow in sunlight or in partial shade in ordinary soil. Hardy.
