A striking colour contrast.
This Foamy Bells, Heucherella 'Solar Eclipse' is an original variety with bicolour foliage that changes from spring to autumn, from purple-edged with chartreuse yellow to copper-edged with gold.
Heucherella 'Solar Eclipse' grows in dense clumps with striking colours and comes into its own in the midst of a green foliage setting with Hosta sieboldiana 'Elegans', Carex trifida 'Rekohu Sunrise', Tiarella 'Appalchian Trail'.
In a pot, the shimmering tresses of Carex testacea 'Prairie Fire' will provide a light accompaniment to the autumnal hues of Heucherella 'Solar Eclipse'.
Grow in partial to full shade in good, humus-rich, moist and well-drained garden soil.
Maintenance: Mulch with mature compost and trim any damaged leaves at the beginning of spring.
