Canary spurge, honey spurge
Native to Madeira, Euphorbia mellifera is really more of a shrub than a perennial.
This euphorbia is vigorous and evergreen. It grows rapidly to form a beautiful plant with a structural habit. Its green and yellow leaves are long and narrow and its orangey flowers smell of honey in the spring.
It flowers from May onwards with crown-shaped inflorescences 15 cm in diameter.
Grow in full sun in light, well-drained soil, but which is not too dry!
