This Agapanthus 'Black Pantha' hybrid has been produced by the Coomera River Nurseries (Australia) and gives a stunning display of blue-black trumpet flowers in July-August.
It is fairly hardy, but requires overwinter protection in a harsh climate. Plant it in the middle of a perennial bed with a sunny exposure in good, fertile, well-drained garden soil.
Agapanthus 'Black Pantha' can also be grown in a large pot and placed on a sunny patio.
Care: needs watering during the growing period with a monthly input of organic fertilizer diluted in the watering can from early spring until flowering. Overwintering protection for pot-grown plants: covers and protective mulch.
