Description :

An exceptional plant

A bromeliad native to South America. Billbergia nutans is an epiphyte or 'air plant' with narrow funnel-shaped foliage. It has REALLY beautiful inflorescences in May and June in temperate climates or in December - February as a house-plant.

Its flowers range in colour from shrimp pink to blue and green, with lemon yellow stamens.

Height: 40 cm.

Easy to grow in subdued light. Fill the funnels twice per month during the growing season. Use orchid fertiliser once per month. In the winter, spray with a mist of softened water.

Hardy to 6 °C.
