A miniature plant for the rockery.
Carex petriei is native to New Zealand and a perfect miniature to grow as edging, in a rockery or pots to accompany low-growing perennials.
You can also plant it en masse in a raised bed to create a more contemporary design.
It has an erect habit, supple coppery-brown foliage, with corkscrew tips and looks like its older brother Carex buchananii.
Grow in the sun or partial shade in light soil that is not too dry. Height: 10 to 25 cm.
