Chrysanthemum 'Brennpunkt'

Description :

A real darling!

Chrysanthemum 'Brennpunkt' is a superb selection that belongs to the Indicum or Indian chrysanthemum group. It produces a sumptuous autumnal flowering of dark red, dahlia-like blooms with coppery highlights.

A vigorous grower which keeps its shape, we like to plant it with grasses to contrast a lighter/heavier habit.

It is absolutely marvellous combined with Miscanthus 'Purple Fall': delicate leaves with cerise-red tips and a gracious tuft, which has a cascading, fountain-like habit

Height: 80 cm. Spread: 50 cm. An excellent cut flower.

We grow Chrysanthemum 'Brennpunkt' in good garden soil in the sun (not scorching) or in partial shade, light and well-drained in winter. Avoid damp conditions generally and heavy, damp soil in winter, as these are both enemies to garden chrysanthemums.

- mulch with mature compost at the beginning of spring;

- prune to half height in late spring to promote a stocky, well-branched habit;

- take cuttings!

- 12 cm pot

- Hardiness zones : zone 7-10
- Height: 50 to 70cm
- Plant spacing: 60 cm

- Flower colour: red
- Flowering period: autumn flowers
