Epimedium grandiflorum 'Lilafee' is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful varieties produced by Ernst Pagels.
Wide purple-red flowers, 2 cm - 3 cm in diameter with long spurs, combined with juvenile, shiny purple green foliage. In the summer the foliage turns a brighter, shinier green, then reddish-brown and still attractive in the autumn.
Height: 25 cm. Planting distance: 60 to 80 cm. Grow in ordinary soil. Hardy.
Note: cut back the previous year's foliage to encourage the new growth.
Note on the photo: Epimedium grandiflorum 'Lilafee' is shown here with Carex testacea for a beautiful composition of autumn colours.
