Origanum vulgare 'Thumble's Variety' has golden yellow foliage and white flowers in bunches. Scent of marjoram.
It provides decorative ground cover for several months and looks great together with silvery and blue foliage plants and blue-flowering plants. Very melliferous (honey-yielding), it's pure joy for the butterflies!
Cooking tip: use it as a culinary herb to replace marjoram or ordinary oregano.
Height: 5 cm in winter, 30 cm in summer. Grow in ordinary soil, that can be heavy, but well-drained. Very hardy.
