A tough ground cover sedge
A Japanese import, the Carex morrowii species is grown in our garden for its three main qualities (*):
Carex morrowii 'Ice Dance' has attractive shiny green and creamy white variegated foliage. This rhizomatous sedge is an effectively tough ground cover for shady areas.
Height: 35 cm. Planting distance: 50 cm. Grow in the sun (not too hot) or in partial shade in ordinary soil. Resists temporary drought. Hardy.
Goes well with Alchemilla mollis. Very attractive in pots on a shady patio.
