The 'fresh butter' coloured flowers are borne on floral stems (up to 1 metre in height) from June to July.
Very wide, rough, heart-shaped leaves.
Grow Phlomis russeliana, also known as Turkish or Jerusalem sage, in any situation from dry soil under a scorching sun to the dry shade of trees. It magnificent foliage and floral stems make it a plant of choice for the garden. Works well as ground cover.
