Tall, vigorous achillea. Achillea 'Credo' flowers from June to September with a peak in July, and then a renewal of blooms until the end of September.
Grey-green, deeply-indented, aromatic foliage. The umbels are borne on well-branched, upright stems. Sulphur yellow flowers that subtly fade to cream.
In perennial beds, it always goes very well with blue-mauve flowering varieties: Agastache 'Blue Boa', Geranium 'Sandrine', Veronicastrum sibiricum, Veronicastrum 'Fascination', Aster frikartii 'Flora's Delight', Monarda 'Elsie's Lavender', Origanum 'Hopley', Erysimum, etc.
Grow in the sun in good garden earth, preferably with some clay for greater longevity.
Achillea 'Credo' might need staking in very rich soil. Make sure you don't use all the compost in your wheel-barrow when planting.
Maintenance: divide the big clumps every four years. Tidy and prune in early spring.
