A small, silvery, chiselled cushion.
This saxifrage forms an attractive little cushion with numerous little silvery rosettes and pure white flowers in April and May.
This plant is decorative all year round and grows well in pots, troughs or in a rockery, in well-drained, neutral to alkaline soil. As Saxifraga paniculata ssp brevifolia does not like too much damp, it needs a sunny, airy situation in the winter.
Height: 15 cm. Very hardy.
« One of my favourite decorative combinations is in a bowl to bring out the way the plants grows and spreads, using Sempervivum, Androsace, Scleranthus and also Saxifrage! Use a humus-rich, well-draining substrate with a lot of gravel or sand and a mineral mulch for decoration. »
