A mini daffodil that is one of our real favourites
Narcissus rupicola is native to rocky regions (ridges and crevices) in the centre of the Iberian Peninsula. It produces bouquets of little golden-yellow flowers, 8 cm - 20 cm in height.
A really charming daffodil that we like to plant on its own in a rockery, on a bank or wall, or in a pot in an alpine greenhouse to enjoy its flowers to the fullest.
It is a bulb for rocky terrain which likes a sunny spot and to be planted in poor, well-drained gravelly soil. During the short growing period, it needs a moist growing medium (water, if necessary).
During summer dormancy, however, the bulbs should be kept dry to prevent rot.
