Description :

Synonym: Cyclamen alpinum.

Cyclamen trochopteranthum belongs to the Cyclamen coum group, which is native to south-east Turkey where it grows in the understory of pine, juniper and cedar groves (300 to 1500 metres). Spring flowering of carmine pink to white blooms with a well-marked central spot.

Characteristic foliage with a spiral twisted shape.

Grow in the sun or slight shade in an alpine rockery in poor, lightly acid, well-drained soil. Summer dormancy.

An excellent plant for growing in pots in an alpine greenhouse.
