Description :

Synonym: Allium spiralis, Allium senescens subsp. montanum var. glaucum.

A native of Europe, Allium senescens 'Glaucum' has wonderful bluish 'corkscrew' foliage with summer-flowering lilac-pink, ball-shaped blooms.Its nectar-producing flowers attract insects and butterflies and its leaves are evergreen in winter.

Slow-growing but long-lived, Allium senescens subsp. montanum var. glaucum gradually forms a carpet over the years which is full of fanciful swirls!

For rockeries, stony beds or troughs.

Grow in the sun in a rockery environment in a well-drained, light, very slightly acidic to chalky soil. Very hardy.
