Azorella trifurcata 'Minor' is native to the Falkland Islands and forms a low, dense mat with a brilliant texture. This strange plant spreads gradually, producing rosette after rosette to form a chequered carpet.
Azorella trifurcata 'Minor' is extremely hardy (Zone 4) and needs some sun and a porous, gravelly, very well-drained, neutral to slightly alkaline soil and a little moisture. This variety has smaller rosettes and a denser habit than Azorella trifurcata.
