Plant association: red and purple

Open the planting scheme

Our plant association brings together the brightest reds and the beautiful dark, almost black, red of Persicaria 'Black Field'.

This composition is sober and distinguished and comes into bloom at the beginning of the summer when the achillea and the Sanguisorba 'Red Thunder' start to flower.

It peaks in the late summer when the Panicum virgatum 'Hanse Herms' flaunts its outstanding flame-red leaves tinged with purple.

The curtain falls in the autumn when Chrysanthemum 'Jules la Graveur' starts to flower.

Other plants can be included depending on your preferences: Crocosmia, Geum, Schizostylis, Coreopsis 'Ruby Red', etc.

All the plants selected are suitable for sunny beds with good garden soil. You will need a space four metres square (4m x 4m).
